Instructions

Burger Patties:

  1. Preheat skillet over medium-high heat with about ½ tablespoon of avocado oil.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground turkey with finely diced onion, beaten egg, almond flour, fish sauce, kosher salt, and black pepper.
  3. Once combined, form four equal patties making sure the center is thinner the edges.
  4. Cook patties until your desired doneness, and then set aside.

Gravy:

  1. Add a little avocado oil to the same skillet that you cooked the burger patties in.
  2. Add mushrooms and onions to the skillet and saute until onions start to caramelize.
  3. Add in the bone broth, coconut aminos, fish sauce, and black pepper.
  4. Bring the gravy to a boil and reduce to a simmer
  5. While the gravy is simmering, whisk cornstarch with 2-3 tablespoons of warm water to create a slurry.
  6. Pour the slurry into the gravy, whisking constantly to make sure it is well combined.
  7. Simmer gravy until it thickens which will take about 10-15 minutes.
  8. Once thickened, taste to see if you need more salt.
  9. Add the burger patties back to the skillet to warm up.

Loco moco:

  1. While burgers are reheating, heat 1 tablespoon of avocado oil over medium-high heat and fry the eggs making sure not to overcook the yolks.
  2. To assemble the dish, first layer cauliflower rice on plate and add a burger patty on top of the cauliflower rice.
  3. Spoon the gravy over the burger patty, and then top with an egg.
